An invitation to gather together for Hellenion's January libation to Hera. "On the second Saturday of each month members of Hellenion pour a libation to one of the Olympians on the same day, from wherever they may be, with whomever may join them, around the world. In this way, whatever else we do to celebrate Hellenic occasions, we are united in doing the same action on the same day. In January, we honor Hera."
I will prepare the altar with a statue of Hera, flowers, peacock feathers, incense, a libation and a libation bowl; feel free to bring an offering or a symbol of Hera to decorate the altar if you like.
We will be reading some traditional prayers and hymns with our libation. If you have a prayer or hymn for Hera that you would like to add/share, please do!
The actual libation probably won't take too long, so folks would be welcome to just come for the libation if they have other Saturday night plans, or people could stay afterwards and share some dessert and conversation.
